In 2023, there have already been several million-dollar winning lottery winners across the state.

While no one has claimed one of the big Billion dollar jackpots from Powerball or Mega Million, several ticket holders have matched enough numbers to win big. Some of the other big winners came off scratch-off tickets in the state.

According to the New York State lottery, so far this year, there have been two confirmed million-dollar winners from scratch-off tickets.

Both Patricia Kontrafouris and Richard Bossi each won $5 million dollars from scratch-off games here in New York.

There was one jackpot-winning ticket sold in New York for the January 17th Mega Millions drawing. That ticket is worth $20 million dollars.

There were four million dollars winning Mega Millions tickets sold in New York for the drawing on January 13th.

There was a $3 million dollar winning Mega Millions ticket sold in New York for the January 10th drawing. The player matched all five numbers and also had the megaplier.

There were two $1 million dollar winning tickets sold for the January 6th drawing.

So even if you don't hit one of those record-breaking jackpots with the Powerball or Mega Millions worth a billion dollars, your dollar and a dream can still come true on a smaller scale here in New York.
