“Big Money” Powerball Winner In New York

Double check those Powerball tickets this morning. The New York State Lottery announced that another "Big Money" winning ticket was sold in New York from Monday's drawing.

That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball to claim the 3rd place prize of $50,000.

Monday's winning Powerball numbers were: 17-40-47-50-55 with a Powerball number of 06.

There was no grand prize winner from Monday's Powerball drawing, so the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is now up to $353 million dollars.

Monday's winning ticket was the fourth "Big Money" winning ticket sold within the past 3 days.

There were three "Big Money" winning tickets sold in New York from Saturday's drawing as well. Those tickets were sold at three different locations according to the New York State Lottery.

A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at Freshmart in Flushing, New York, Smokes 4 Less on North Plank road in Newburgh, and at Speedway on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda, New York.

There hasn't been a grand prize winner with the Powerball since early this year. The last ticket to match all five numbers and have the Powerball was sold back on January 18th and was sold in Oregon.

The Powerball is played three times a week. Drawings are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 pm. If you want to play, you will need to buy your ticket by 10 pm the night of the drawing.
