Wednesday night's Powerball drawing was very lucky for some lottery players in New York State.

While no one took home the grand prize jackpot, there were four "Big Money" winning tickets sold in New York State from last night's Powerball drawing.

Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and had the Powerball as well to take home the 3rd place prize of $50,000.

The holders of those tickets beat some impressive odds as the odds of winning the 3rd place prize with Powerball are 1 in 913,129.

Wednesday night's winning Powerball numbers were 16-26-29-38-50 with a Powerball of 6.

Since no one won the grand prize the jackpot for Saturday's Powerball is up to $443 million dollars. That is getting close to the New York State record for the largest lottery jackpot ever won.

The current record is $476 million dollars. Johnnie Talyor claimed the grand prize of $476 million dollars last April playing the Mega Millions.

If you are looking for a little big of an edge when it comes to getting a lucky lottery ticket, you might want to re-think where you buy your ticket.

Here are the luckiest places in New York to buy a lottery ticket. They have produced more "Big Money" winners than anywhere else since 2012.
