The New York State announced that one "Big Money" winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from last night's drawing.

One 3rd-place winning ticket was sold in New York State from Monday's Powerball drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball to win $50,000.

There were also 43 4th-place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed the Powerball number. 37 of those tickets won $100, while the other 6 had the Powerplay and won $200.

On top of those winners, there were also 79 5th-place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. 62 of those winners took home $100 while the other 17 had the Powerplay and won $200.

Did Anyone Win The Grand Prize?

There was no grand prize winning Powerball ticket sold from last night's drawing. There were three 2nd-place winning tickets sold, with each ticket winning at least $1 million dollars.

Those tickets were sold in Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Texas.

Since no one claimed the grand prize, the jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing is now up to $449 million dollars.

That would be the largest Powerball jackpot ever won by a New York State resident if someone in New York were to win.
