
$5 Million Dollar Scratch-Off Lottery Winner In New York
A quick trip to the liquor store has turned one New Yorker into a multimillionaire.
The New York State Lottery announced that one $5 Million Dollar grand prize winning scratch-off lottery ticket was sold and claimed earlier this week.
This was the 6th Million dollar or more winning scratch-off ticket sold in New York in the past couple of months.
$5 Million Dollar Lottery Winner In New York State
The grand prize winning lottery ticket was purchased by Teresa Brzozowa of Ridgewood, New York. She claimed the top prize on the New York Lottery’s Bonus 100X Scratch-off game. She decided to take the lump sum payout, which means after taxes and withholdings, she won just over $2 million dollars.
The winning ticket was purchased at 7 Days Wine & Spirits located at 143 Driggs Ave. in Brooklyn, New York.
How Many More Grand Prize Tickets Are Left?
According to the New York State Lottery, at the time of the announcement on June 24th, there were still three $5 million dollar top prizes remaining on the Bonus 100X ticket. There were a total of four grand prize winning tickets for this scratch-off game.
The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 4,473,037.50 and the cost of one ticket is $20.
