
What Will May’s Weather Be Like In Western New York?
It is the start of the new month, and I know a lot of us are sick of the bad weather, so what will May bring us here in Western New York?
I turned to the Old Farmer's Almanac for a look ahead at the next 31 days with the hope that warmer and drier weather could be coming to the 716. According to their prediction, I will get one of my two wishes.
Old Farmer Almanac Weather Prediction For The Month Of May
Here in Western New York, it looks like we are going to see a bit warmer month than normal, but it will also be a much wetter month. It looks like those April showers are going to continue into the month of May.
The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for an average high of 60 degrees in the month of May for Western New York, which is only 1 degree above normal. They are also calling for around inches of rain this month, which would be almost double the amount we usually get in Western New York.
When Are We Getting The Best Weather Of The Month?
According to their long-range forecast, the best week of weather will be the week of May 13th through the 20th. It looks like those days will have mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 60s.

So if you are planning on any PTO in the month of May, you might want to use it that week. The good news is that the Buffalo Bisons have a homestand that week, so it should be perfect for a ballgame or two.
