Two Western New York Restaurants Closing For Good
2023 will wrap up in a couple of weeks and two restaurants in Western New York are calling it quits.
Both places posted on social media that they would be shutting down or not reopening in 2024.
The first place is Santino's Pizza Shack in Elma. It was first opened in 1972 and was the first pizzeria to open in Elma. I know my wife was sad to hear about this. As a little girl she lived on Bowen Road and she said that Santino's was the place they went for their weekly pizza dinner.
According to their Facebook post, December 30th will be their last day.

The other place is Lago 210 in Hamburg. Lago 210 opened three years ago and had one of the best views of Lake Erie from its dining room. According to their post on Facebook, the owners are closing down the restaurant due to family reasons.
My wife and I had a chance to dine there a couple of times and the food was amazing everything we went. Hopefully, the owners will set up shop again in the future. They are looking to sell the business so if anyone is interested you can reach out to them via social media.
These restaurants join a long list of places that shut down in 2023. Some of the other places include Como's, John and Mary's, and the Taste of Siam.
The good news is that there are still plenty of other amazing resturantes here in Western New York.
