As the price of almost everything increases, you could get some help from New York State with the state's first-ever inflation rebate check.
New York Set To Issue Inflation Rebate Checks
For the first time in the history of New York State, the government will issue inflation rebate checks as part of the new state budget.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul made the announcement this week that, now that the budget has been passed by lawmakers, over 8 million New York residents will get a check.
How Much Will The Inflation Rebate Check Be?
Who, and how much you get, will depend on your 2023 tax returns. New York State's Department of Taxation and Finance posted on its website a breakdown of who is eligible for an inflation rebate check.

When Will Inflation Rebate Checks Be Issued In New York State?
According to the latest update, New York State will begin mailing out the inflation rebate checks in October, with the hope that everyone will be sent out by the end of November.
Officials did state that checks won't be sent out by zip code, so you might get yours before or after other people in your neighborhood.
