
Inflation Rebates Headed To Mailboxes In New York State
Now that lawmakers in New York State have approved the state budget for 2025-26, we are all wondering when the state's first-ever inflation rebate checks will be sent out.
Who Is Getting Inflation Rebate Checks In New York State?
According to the budget that was proposed by New York Governor Kathy Hochul and passed by New York lawmakers, over 8 million New York State residents will get some sort of inflation rebate check.
Here is the breakdown on who will be getting a check according to New York State's Department of Taxation.

When Can We Expect Inflation Rebate Checks To Arrive?
The New York State Department of Taxation is expected to start mailing out the inflation rebate checks in the Fall of 2025. That means checks could be sent out in September or October. At the time of this writing, no specific date was given by officials in New York State.
What Will The Inflation Rebate Checks Look Like When They Get Mail?
They will be addressed to the person in the household who filed a tax return in 2023, and the return address will be marked as coming from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. See below for a photo.
