Officials all across the country are pointing out that oil production is expected to drop this week and the supply of gas will be affected by that. If the supply of oil get tight, we will see the price of gas increase. With the decrease in oil, we could see the cost of gas go up by 10-20 cents per gallon.

We have already seen a rise in the price of gas from last week to this week and if the prediction of a 10 or 20-cent rise in the cost of a gallon of gas, we could be paying around $3.67 per gallon here in New York State.

As of this writing, the average price of a gallon of gas here in New York is below the national average. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in New York is $3.47 while the national average is $3.50 per gallon.
