National Buffalo Wing Festival Will Have New Home In 2025
2025 is bringing a major change to the National Buffalo Wing Festival.
After four years of holding the event at the home of the Buffalo Bills, Highmark Stadium, the event is set to return to its original home Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo.
Wingfest first started in 2002 and was held at Sahlen Field for the first 19 years but moved to Highmark Stadium when the Toronto Bluejays moved to Buffalo during the COVID-19 season in 2020.
It has been at Highmark Stadium ever since but will move back to Sahlen Field next year.
“We are beyond excited to bring the National Buffalo Wing Festival back to Sahlen Field,” said “Wing King” Drew Cerza, founder and organizer of the festival. “For nearly two decades it was the perfect backdrop for celebrating Buffalo’s signature dish. The energy, the atmosphere, intimacy of the field layout, and the connection to Buffalo’s vibrant downtown, this is the ideal location moving forward. We can’t wait to welcome wing lovers from all over the world back to this historic site! Our thanks go out to the Buffalo Bills for a great four years at Highmark Stadium”.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival was named one of the top specially food festivals in the country last year by USA Today.
2025's National Buffalo Wing Festival will be held on August 30th and 31st and will have more than 20 wing vendors serving a wide range of flavors and options.
There will also be family activities, wing-eating contests, and live music.
