This Friday is the annual NHL draft, and if the Buffalo Sabres want to end their 14-season playoff drought, there are some changes that need to be made.

While I am no hockey expert, I have been a lifelong Sabres fan, and these are some moves the team needs to make for a chance to make the playoffs next season.

Moves The Buffalo Sabres Need To Make ASAP

Get A Real General Manager

The whole Kevyn Adams experience has been a bad one. Adams took over the GM role in 2020, and the team has not improved like it should have. We have a deep roster full of young talent that hasn't turned into superstars like we wanted them to. Adams was also part of the whole Jack Eichel debacle. If he hasn't figured it out yet, it is time to move on.

Get A True #1 Goalie

The whole UPL or Devon Levi debate is null and void since neither one of them is a true #1 goalie. They are both young, and I think they both will become #1 tenders in the league, but the Sabres need to win NOW. Ship one or both off for a true #1 goalie. Of course, this is easier said than done, but if you had the right GM (See Above), this could be a game changer for the Sabres

Give Back To The Fans

When a team has lost as much as the Sabres, fans don't want to support them because they know the team won't change. Now is the time for the team to give back to the fans. Lower ticket prices, lower prices on food and drinks in the arena, and offer free parking with season tickets. You made us watch this garage for 14 years, now it is time to give back to the fans.

Hopefully, the team will get back on track just like the Bills did, because the Sabres Mafia deserves a winning team.
