Minnie Driver has landed herself a new role in a pilot coming to a TV new you this fall.  This one sounds a little bit like the old show "Scarecrow and Mrs. King"... remember that one?

Like Kate Jackson did in "Scarecrow and Mrs. King", Minnie will play a suburban single mom who ends up solving crimes.  Kate teamed up with a government agent, Minnie will be playing along with a street smart hustler.  "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" ran for four seasons on CBS (1983-87), and was ultimately cancelled after Kate's role diminished in the series as she began treatment for breast cancer.  Minnie's show will also air on CBS.  Among the executive producers is Joel Silver... and with his record, this could end being one to watch!
