It looks like Mother Nature is gearing up for one final run at Winter for New York State.

Looking ahead over the next couple of weeks, it looks like another snowstorm is gearing up to sweep across the state bringing another round of cold and snow.

Several weather models are showing that well below temperatures along with plenty of snow are set to move across the state in the middle of March.


 

It has been a relatively quiet winter across the state except for a couple of major events. Besides Buffalo which had two major snowstorms in November and December of 2022, most cities in New York are well below average when it comes to snowfall.

Here is a look at snow totals for some of the major cities in New York for this winter.

Buffalo - 119 inches
Rochester - 26 inches
Syracuse - 47 inches
Albany - 28 inches
Binghamton - 40 inches
New York City - 46 inches
