
Massive Lays Potato Chip Recall Elevated To Class 1
You might have to stop at just one after the FDA has issued a massive recall of Lay's Potato Chips.
The recall is considered a Level 1 recall which the considered the riskiest level by the FDA.
The Lay's Potato Chip recall was first issued last month, but the FDA raised the level of the recall earlier this week. The "Class 1" recall means that exposure or consumption of the product could lead to serious health issues and possible death.
Lay’s Classic Potato Chips are the only product affected by the recall and the recalled packages have UPC numbers of 28400 and 31041. The recalled packages have a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of Feb. 11, 2025, and have one of these manufacturing codes: 6462307xx or 6463307xx.
The potato chips were only sold in Washington State and Oregon but they could have been transported to other areas since the recall was first issued.

If you have any Lay's Classic Potato chip bags at home you are encouraged to check the "Guaranteed Fresh" date and UPC numbers.
