Niagara County Sees Sharp Rise In Arrests, 35 Taken In

Police in Niagara County spent the past week arresting people accused of crimes. Niagara County comprises several cities, towns, and villages, including the City of Lockport, the City of North Tonawanda, the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Lewiston, the Town of Lockport, the Town of Wheatfield, and the Village of Youngstown.

A convicted sex offender in Niagara County is facing additional charges. The 42-year old man was hit with six charges by a grand jury. Joshua Mahley has been charged with Interstate Travel to Engage in Illicit Sexual Conduct, Transportation of a Minor, Obscene Visual Representations of the Sexual Abuse of Children, and penalties for being a registered sex offender. On three occasions, Mahley allegedly traveled across state lines to engage in sexual relations with a minor. Those incidents happened in June, July, and August of last year. In September, he allegedly brought the victim across state lines for sexual conduct, according to WGRZ. He also had AI generated images of minors engaged in sexual acts.

This week, 35 people were arrested in Niagara County, a pretty significant increase from the week beofre. Police in Niagara County arrested 21 people the previous week. Each of the people below is considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Contact me here.
