People have been following along closely to the progress of the New Highmark Stadium. We've seen the first piece of steel go in. We saw the last piece of steel get placed. We watched as they put the seats in and the new grass for the field. But the one question that people haven't gotten an answer to is how big the bison family will be outside of the stadium. Today, we got that answer.

Questions started immediately after seeing the original renderings

When the renderings first came out for the new stadium, they showed a family of bison on the outside that will make a picture-perfect backdrop. The only question people had was about how big they would be. They looked enormous. Were we talking about animals that were almost as tall as the stadium, or would they be closer to life size? The worry was that they will be too small and be underwhelming.

Now we know how big the bison family will be

The Bills brought some members of the media in to check out the stadium today and said that it was about 93% complete and still plan to have it completed by June. They also gave some information about the family of bison that will be situated inside the family circle just outside of the stadium.

There are three bison that are being fabricated in Lancaster, Pennsylvania at a place called A.R.T. Research Enterprises, Inc. The family will be made up of a 27-foot bull, a 23-foot Cow, and a 12-foot Calf.

These things are going to be huge, and they will definitely be unique. For more pictures and everything else you'll want to know about the bisons, click here.
