
Hurricane Will Have Impact On Weather In New York
The first named hurricane of 2025 will have an impact on the weather across New York State
Hurricane Erin To Impact Weather In New York State
At the time of this writing, Erin is a tropical storm but is expected to strengthen to a Category 1 Hurricane by the end of the week.
The good news is that the projected path of Hurricane Erin will skirt up the East Coast well offshore so there is no immediate danger to coastal towns.

The even better news is that the hurricane moves east into the Atlantic ocean, it will suck away the warm humid weather we have had across the state and allow cooler air from the Northwest to move across New York State.
Cool Weather Forecasted For Next Week In New York State
With the cold air expected to sweep across New York State, temperatures will take a dip for much of the state. Rain will move across the state on Sunday and then we will see temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler than we had this week.
There is even better news as the long range forecast for August 21st through 27th is calling for well below temperatures across the state as well.
