Another round of restaurant closings will impact diners in New York State. Applebee's announced they were closing four locations across the country, including one here in the Empire State.

Applebee's Set To Close New York State Location

Applebee's put out a list of stores they plan on or have already closed this month in order to help balance their bottom line in 2026. One of those stores is right here in New York State.

The Applebee's located at 268 Saratoga Road in Glenville, New York, announced that it would be permanently closing in one week from today, on April 12, 2026.

The owner of that Applebee's did tell the local news that the employees at that location would be able to transfer to other nearby Applebee's if they wanted to.

The other Applebee's locations are:

  • Evansville, Indiana — East Morgan Avenue
  • Evansville, Indiana — Pearl Drive
  • Columbia, Missouri — West Stadium Blvd/I-70 Drive SW

This is the latest big change from the owners of Applebee's, Darden Restaurants. Last month, they announced that they were closing 14 of the Tropical Themed Bahama Breeze restaurants and converting 14 others to different brands.

Darden Restaurants runs restaurant chains Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Ruth’s Chris.

This closing of the Applebee's in Glenville comes a week after a popular burger place closed down in Western New York.

Juicy Burger Bar announced it closed down for good last week due to changes in the economy. They had been at their Delaware Ave location for just about a year after operating for the past decade in Hamburg, New York.
