Travel From New York To Florida Impacted By Hurricane Idalia
Many New Yorkers are expected to get in some "end of summer" travel over the long Labor Day weekend, but we are seeing some issues with traveling to the Southeast from New York.

Flights from the Buffalo International Airport to Orlando and Tampa Bay have already been canceled or delayed for today.
Flights from La Guardia to Orlando and Raleigh North Carolina have been delayed. Flights to Tampa Bay have been canceled.
Hurricane Idalia is expected to sweep across parts of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. The impact of the storm is expected to last through the long Labor Day weekend.
If you have plans to fly out this weekend the best thing to do is double check with your airline and the airport for flight times before you head to the airport.
If you are traveling by car over the long Labor Day weekend, there is some good news. Gas Prices are down from this time last year. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in New York State is $3.906 while the National average is $3.823. In 2022, the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $4.14.
