Handmaid’s Tale Season Three Has Begun
If you have HULU and have been intoxicated by this amazing series Handmaid's Tale, then get excited, season three has begun.
Now, this is not a show for the faint of heart. If you are cool with dystopian narratives (like the recent bird box) or let just say anything on "Black Mirror," you can certainly handle Handmaid's tale.
Will try not to give anything away but the first episode opens in the house where June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) is still held captive under an anti-women regime. When suddenly the house starts to be consumed by flames. Is this June's chance to escape? Will she find her daughter?
One review says that
a good thing for The Handmaid’s Tale, Based on Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel, the series is set in a near future where the United States has transformed into the misogynistic theocracy Gilead, and fertile women are pressed into sexual slavery. But after the show moved beyond Atwood’s storyline, showrunner Bruce Miller largely abandoned story and character development in favor of a series of portraits of female despair.
It's an amazing show, beautifully rendered, through the about what it means to be free, and how each character will do anything to find that freedom.
