The New York City Fire Department is remembering the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a commemorative book titled "FDNY 2001-2011: A Decade of Remembrance and Resilience."  The story looks back at the New York City terrorist attacks through the eyes of first responders, taking you on the FDNY's journey through the last decade.

The FDNY Foundation website says the book is a first hand account of the men and women who were there, saying it's "the story of the 343 FDNY members lost that day and the ongoing efforts to honor their memory...  This is also a testament to the resilience of FDNY’s spirit – how it rebuilt, recovered and remained the greatest Fire Department in the world."

When you order from the FDNY Firezone, half of the proceeds go to the FDNY Foundation.  (The FDNY Foundation is the official not-for-profit organization of the FDNY established to promote Fire Safety in New York City and fund professional development, training, and education programs.)
