Express Lane Comes To DMV In Erie County, New York
Things will hopefully move a lot quicker for you next time you have to visit the DMV in Erie County.
This week, the county opened the first ever "Express Lane" for people heading to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The "Express Lane" will be used by people who make appointments online for the DMV. In the past, even if you had an appointment you would still have to wait in line at the DMV.
With the new Express Lane, you will be able to avoid that line and be able to get processed quicker.
Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns said the Express Lane idea was created to reward people who make appointments with the DMV and to help ease the flow for everyone at the DMV.
“By managing arrivals effectively, customers can look forward to being served promptly and without the worry of seeing a long line of people waiting ahead of them.”
You are advised to show up to your appointment no more than 15 minutes early and head to the designated Express Lane.
