With Summer finally here and a holiday weekend wrapping up, I asked Tuesday during Buffalo's Morning Show your best excuses for missing work.

I have received a number of them by email, listeners sent me to a Facebook site for others and monster.com posted a list of good and bad excuses. I will share the ones I found most interesting with you:

- I have earned it. Work hard come in early for a couple of weeks, work late, and negotiate a day off (before you take it).

- I have cramps. Embarrassing topic for some supervisors, so it often works (guys forget about it, this is not for you).

- I have a doctor's appointment. Make it first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon, it could get you half a day, and as long as your doctors office is not busy, you might squeak out a few free hours.
