For animal lovers news that Erie SPCA is opening their doors to transport 19 dogs and puppies in the path of Hurricane Dorian is welcome.

Channel 4 reports, the dogs come from Saint Frances Anima Care Center In Georgetown, South Carolina.

The dogs were cleared out of the shelter proactively to make room for animals who may be displaced during the hurricane.  This is just one stop as their shelter employees deliver their animals up north so they can have an empty shelter ready to help animals who will be affected by Hurricane Dorian! Welcome to WNY! “ The SPCA’s Facebook page reads.

The pups’ bios will be posted to the SPCA website once they are ready for adoption.
