Lack Of Showers May Hurt Flowers In Buffalo
Looking ahead to the next couple of weeks in April, we could end up with some issues if Mother Nature doesn't help out.

The extended forecast is calling for more of a mix of sun and clouds starting this weekend and heading into the next couple of weeks.
While a mix of sun and clouds with some warm weather is perfect for those who want to go out and about and finally get out of the house after this weird wild winter. It could end up being a problem for gardeners in Western New York.
We all know the old saying "April Showers Brings May Flowers", but what happens if there are no showers in April?
You probably have already seen lots of buds and flowers start to pop up in your garden or backyard, but if those plants and trees don't get the water they need to flourish, they could end up not blooming or becoming everything they are supposed to become.
So why is the rain so needed? Those April showers help bring water as the process of renewal and growth begins. The precipitation from April showers helps wash nutrients deeper into the soil. This will help allow those plants and trees to get everything they need for much-needed growth.
While a dry April isn't an extreme problem, it is better to have rain and precipitation during April and into May than a dry month or two.
So let's hope as we get through the next couple of weeks and then some rain returns to the forecast and those April showers are put to good use for some amazing May flowers.
