Could Using GPS Increase Your Alzheimers Risk
Most of us have only had GPS for about ten years. Now everyone uses it to get everywhere, especially young people. And that might not be a good thing . . .
According to David Barrie author of the book "Incredible Journeys" one of the first signs of Alzheimer's is feeling disoriented, and that's because the part of your brain that helps you navigate and remember directions shrinks.
In other words, when you always use GPS, you don’t have to remember how to get places. And the part of your brain that helps you get from point A to point B can shrink because of it.
At this point it is just a theory and more research has to be done but it might be advisable to use your GPS sparingly.
