Today will be cold, very cold. It will be the coldest day of the year as temperatures will struggle to get out of the teens.

Today we are looking at a high of only 19 with some light scattered showers across Western New York.

Wind Chills will dip into the single digits across parts of the region as well. So make sure you bundle up as you head into work or school this morning.

A Winter Weather advisory is in place for Chautauqua County until 7 am Thursday morning. They could get between 3-6 inches of snow over the next 48 hours.


The cold weather will continue into next week as well. The 10-day forecast for Western New York is calling for some light snow flurries on Monday and Tuesday of next week with temperatures in the 20s. Temperatures will remain in the 20s for much of next week as well before we crack the freezing mark on Saturday, January 18th.

As for the snow, much of Western New York will only see some flurries, maybe up to an inch or two, over the next several days.
