Buffalo’s Corpse Flower Set To Bloom
It could be a Stinky weekend in Buffalo this week as our area Corpse Flower "Morty" could Bloom!
That's right, Morty who is a rare "Amorphophallus titanum" plant that when it blooms smells like rotten flesh, hence the nickname Corpse Flower, is set to bloom soon at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens!
On average the "Corpse Flower" blooms once every 6-8 years. The last time Morty bloomed was in 2014!
Melody had a chance to visit "Morty" and see how close he is to blooming!
