Buffalo Zoo Baby Reindeer Gets Named

It took just under a month to name the new baby Scandinavian Reindeer at the Buffalo Zoo, but representatives announced the name this afternoon.  Over 1,200 votes decided that the baby's name should be Thor - which if you follow the Marvel movie franchise you know that is a very powerful name!

Now I don't think this deer is a God, but I do like the name Thor more than the other options that were suggested - Pulsar, Yukon, and Max.  Thor is a name of strength.  I'm guessing that he will be allowed to play all of the reindeer games.
