The Buffalo Bills have been without a punter since the team released 6th-round draft pick, Matt Araiza, amid rape allegations while he was in college at San Diego State.
According to the reports the Bills have signed former Denver Bronco punter Sam Martin, who was released by the Broncos after refusing to take a pay cut.
Martin has signed a one-year deal with the Bills.
For his career, Martin has posted an average of 46.1 yards per punt with his longest punt being 72 yards.
His experience punting outside in the weather conditions in Denver will help make the transition to Buffalo a bit easier.
To make room on the 53-man roster for Martin, The Bills moved wide receiver Marquez Stevenson to the injured reserve.
The Bills are set to kick off the season next Thursday on the road in Los Angeles as they take on the defending Super Bowl champs the LA Rams.
The Bills are the odds-on favorites to win the Super Bowl this year and here is to Martin having a slow year with as few punts as possible.
