“Big Money” Powerball Winning Streak Over In New York State
It looks like the luck of the Irish was not with Powerball players in New York State last night.
New York's winning streak of "Big Money" Powerball winners was snapped on Monday night when the New York State Lottery announced that there were no "Big Money" winning tickets sold from Monday's drawing.
There had been at least one "Big Money" winning Powerball ticket sold in New York from every Powerball drawing since February 5th. We almost made it a whole month of having "Big Money" winners in New York.
There were still plenty of winners in New York from last night's Powerball drawing. There were 60 4th and 5th place winning tickets sold in New York, with each one of those tickets winning at least $100 dollars.
To win the 4th place prize, you needed to match four out of five numbers, and to win the 5th place prize, you needed to match 3 out of 5 numbers, and also have the Powerball number.
Monday's winning Powerball numbers were: 18-20-50-52-56 with a Powerball of 20.
No one claimed the grand prize, so the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing will be up to $295 million dollars.
The Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 pm.

There is another streak that could be broken tonight, this time with the Mega Millions. There has not been a "Big Money" winning Mega Millions ticket sold in New York in the past three drawings.
Let's hope that we snap that winless streak tonight and someone in New York walks away with some extra cash from tonight's Mega Millions drawing.
