Best Free Agent Signings In Buffalo Bills History
The NFL free agency period kicks off on March 12th and the Buffalo Bills are expected to be active in the market this offseason.
With that being said, you have to be careful when you sign a high-priced free agent because it doesn't always add up to wins. But sometimes it does.
Check out some of the best free agent signings in Buffalo Bills history.
BRYCE PAUP
This dominating outside linebacker signed with the Bills in 1995 after spending the first four years of his career with Green Bay. He would make his presence known in his first year with the Bills, recording 17.5 sacks and being named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
JORDAN POYER
Poyer joined the Bills in 2017 after spending three seasons in Cleveland. Along with safety Micah Hyde, Poyer became one of the best safeties in the NFL in Buffalo. He was named an All-Pro in 2021.
MICAH HYDE
The other half of the Poyer/Hyde tag team, Hyde joined the Bills in 2017 and would end up being named an All-Pro twice in Buffalo. He rejoined the Bills practice squad this past season and acted more as a coach than a player.
JAMES LOFTON
The lanky wide receiver signed with the Bills in 1989 and was key to the Bills Super Bowl run in the early 90s. He was named an All-Pro once as a Bill and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame
RYAN FITZPATRICK
Fitz makes the list for not what he did on the field but what he has done off the field in Buffalo. He has played for several NFL teams but seems to have fallen in love with Buffalo and Bills Mafia.
