Joe Chille wrote yesterday about some good news regarding Trebek's cancer journey, that he is near remission.

According to Trebek in a People Magazine interview this week, a big source of his comfort has come from his wife Jeannie.

“Jeannie is wonderful.  She cried of course this morning when she got the [good] news [about my tumors shrinking]. But it’s been a lot. It’s a lot of pressure.”

Adds the articles author Gillian Telling,

The one person staying steadfast by his side — the one who cried tears of joy with him when he recently learned his tumors were already shrinking — is  his wife Jean Currivan, 54, to whom he’s been married for 29 years.

 

Trebek has fought back from stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  While continuing to do his show, Jeopardy he endured numerous  rounds of chemotherapy.
