Smoke from the wildfires in Canada will be an issue for residents in New York State today.

Once again, smoke from those wildfires in Canada will be pushed across New York State, leaving much of the state with moderate air quality issues.

New York State Impacted By Wildfire Smoke

Over one million acres of land continue to burn in Canada, and the winds will bring that smoke to all of New York State. According to the EPA, all of New York State has a moderate risk for poor air quality today due to that smoke.

As you can see by the map, most of New York has a moderate air quality risk, but some areas downstate could see that alert elevated to unhealthy for at risk groups.
