A Python With Eyes Bigger Than His Stomach

Talk about your eyes being bigger than your stomach. When I read this story I was in disbelief. Then I thought to myself. I can see how something like this may of happened. A Burmese Python was looking for a meal and a female  dear looked like the perfect supper. The only problem is that the 16 Foot  python swallowed the whole 76 pound female deer in tact.  

How on earth did that happen? According to scientists in the Everglades, the snake staked out the well known deer path and was able to attack and squeeze the deer to death.  Unfortunate for the snake he was shot to death by contract workers who had discovered him. Scientist believe this is the first time they have seen prey of this size in tact inside of the python. The snakes girth was measured at 44 inches.  This truly sounds worse than snakes on the plane ever could be.

The Burmese python have become a new guest to the Everglades by way of the exotic pet business and also by owners who have set them free into the wild. With the recent incident that occurred in Ohio, do you feel people should be allowed to own such exotic animals? These animals have been removed from their natural habitats. In my opinion it's cruel to the animals and cruel to the public that is put in danger.
