New Christmas Movie Being Filmed In Western New York

This Christmas you will see a lot more of Western New York on your television.

Western New York has become a favorite location for filmmakers especially ones who are making holiday movies and this week crews are in town filming another Christmas movie.

You will see crews at the Erie County SPCA, Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant, and other spots in Western New York as they film a new Christmas movie called "A Christmas Tail"

The movie stars Brittany Underwood and Jonathan Stoddard who have been in Western New York filming other Christmas movies in the past.

This is the latest of a series of movies that have been filmed here in Western New York over the past several years.

Here is a look at some of the holiday movies that were filmed here in the 716.

"A Very Vermont Christmas" was filmed in East Aurora and the surrounding area.

"A Christmas In Vermont" was filmed around East Aurora and Ellicottville in 2016.

"A Royal Christmas on Ice " was mainly filmed in East Aurora. There were several scenes filmed inside of Viddler's 5 and 10.

"A Royal Christmas Engagement" was also mainly flimed in East Aurora and can be seen on Peacock.

It is not just Christmas movies that feature Western New York. Several blockbuster movies like "Bruce Almighty" To The Quiet Place franchise, and "The First Purge" were all filmed here in Western New York.

The best part, besides seeing some very familiar places on the big screen, is seeing some familiar faces on the screen. Many of these films use local actors and residents for extras and bit parts.
