The most famous groundhog of all Punxsutawney Phil agreed with Buffalo Bert and is calling for six more weeks of Winter.

Here are 5 reasons why that isn't such a bad thing here in Western New York.

MORE TIME TO SKI AND SNOWBOARD

There are plenty of places to strap on the skis and hit the slopes and trails. Six more weeks of winter gives you more time to get out and enjoy them

LESS POTHOLES

We all know there are plenty of potholes around Western New York, but with six more weeks of winter, those potholes will remain filled with snow so they won't wreak havoc on your ride.

YOU CAN CONTINUE TO WEAR BULKY CLOTHES

If your New Year's resolution was to hit the gym and lose some weight, six more weeks of winter gives you six more weeks of wearing bulky clothes and more time to get in shape and lose that weight so when we have to wear t-shirts and shorts you will look amazing.

MORE CHANCES FOR A SNOW DAY FROM SCHOOL

If you are in school of course you want six more weeks of winter. That means that there are more chances for a snow day and an additional day off from school.

MORE TIME TO SNUGGLE UP WITH THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL

When it is cold outside and the snow is coming down sometimes you just want to stay in and snuggle with that someone special. With six more weeks of winter, you will have more chances to do just that.
