
18+ inches of Snow Expected In Western New York
The snow is set to return to Western New York this week. Another arctic blast is expected to swoop in from the Canadian Northwest and with it will be plenty of cold weather and snow showers.
Parts of Western New York could end up getting over 18 inches of snow between Monday night and Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties starting at 7 pm tonight and lasting until Tuesday morning at 9 am
Windy speeds of up to 60 miles per hours are possible with another 3 to 6 inches of snow likely for the Southtowns and Southern Tier tonight and into tomorrow morning. That snow is expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday with some places like Springville, Eden, and Jamestown getting up to 18+ inches of snow.
We will also see a drop in the temperature as well as this next weather front moves across Western New York. Temperatures will fall from the 30s today to the teens on Thursday.
Travel could be impacted as well as the winds will be blowing the snow around causing possible whiteout conditions.

On top of those two weather alerts, there is a lakeshore flooding warning for Western New York from 10 am today until 4 am on Tuesday. Flood prone areas could be impacted by this latest round of weather.
