Red wine, in moderation, is credited with helping everything from heart health, to cholesterol, to reducing your risk of certain cancers. Now a study  published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry claims it can help reduce the effect of wrinkles. and prevent sunburn!

That study notes that grapes are rich in flavonoids, compounds that block chemical changes associated with skin damage. Flavonoids are also found in red wine.

So is it time to grab a bottle of sangria before hitting the beach? One, not if you're driving, and Two, more research is necessary. Still, a glass or two if you tan at home is worth trying (If you'd rather not drink, the study revealed that eating grapes will give the same results).
