A new study reveals that only about half of American adults are married - the lowest percentage ever recorded! 50 years ago, 72 % of adults in the United States were married.

The report, from the respected Pew Research Center,says 51% of adults in the US are currently married. It also notes that we're getting married at an older age than we once did; 26 for brides, 28 [almnost 29] for grooms. Here's a report from CBS News, looking at the study's results:

A seperate study last year says almost 40% of participants called marriage "becoming obsolete". But 60 % of never-married people said they'd like to get married at some point in their life.
