Traffic is soon going to get ready busy at one Western New York intersection and this will become one of the worst places to be in a car in all of New York State.

The Chick-Fil-A in Hamburg is set to open on November 17th (Take a Peek Inside) on the corner of McKinley and Milestrip and if the past is any indication of what traffic is like near a newly open Chick-Fil-A, you might want to avoid this intersection for a while.

This intersection is already busy with the Wegman's plaza, Mckinley Mall, BJ's plaza, and the Home Depot plaza all right around that area. Traffic moves slowly already and with the ramp from the Thruway just up the road, an influx of highway traffic will bog down the roads too as people get off to grab some lunch or dinner.

We have seen traffic issues with the other two Chick-Fil-A locations, especially when they opened up. The one on Walden near the Galleria had police directing traffic when it opened in 2018.

The location in Lancaster off Transit road opened up in 2019 and traffic was steady, but since it was in the Wegman's plaza, parking and waiting was not a big issue.

This is no such "extra" space for the new Chick-Fil-a in Hamburg. I have a feeling we will have cars waiting to get into the new restaurant slowing down traffic on both Mckinley and Milestrip.

People want their chicken and just know if you have to drive past this intersection in a couple of weeks, you could be stuck in traffic for a long while.
