It looks like another major Winter storm is set to impact Western New York.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the portions of Western New York starting tonight until Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 18
  inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie
  counties.

* WHEN...From this evening through Wednesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to
  impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning
  or evening commute.

Begin needed preparations at home or with your vehicle. Travel
may become difficult, so plan accordingly.

Usually, a Winter Storm Watch will be issued in around 24 hours before a storm impacts an area. A watch indicates the risk of bad weather event has increased but its when and where is still uncertain. The watch is intended to provide enough lead time so you can make plans to stay safe.
