Million Dollar Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold In New York

Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing turned out to be a VERY lucky drawing for one person in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that one 2nd place winning ticket was sold in New York from last night's Mega Millions drawing.

That ticket matched all five numbers but missed out on the Mega Ball. The ticket was sold at a Gulf Express gas station located at 986 Little Britain Road in New Winsor, New York.

That wasn't the only "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York from last night's Mega Millions drawing. There were two other 3rd-place winning tickets sold in The Empire State. Both those tickets matched four out of five numbers and had the Megaball. One ticket won $10,000 while the other ticket had the Megaplier which was 4x the prize amount so that ticket won $40,000.

One grand prize winning ticket was sold in Texas from the Mega Millions drawing. That ticket matched all the numbers and took home the $800 million dollar jackpot.  This was the first grand prize winning ticket sold since June 4th.

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were: 1-2-16-24-66 with a Megaball of 06.

Since someone claimed the grand prize, the jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing is back down to the starting amount of $20 million dollars.
