National Chicken Wing Chain Expanding In Buffalo, New York
The crowded chicken wing market in Buffalo is going to have some more competition very soon.
On the heels of opening up their first location earlier this year, national chain Wing Stop has announced they are set to open a second location in May, with several more expected across Western New York soon.
Wing Stop Opens First Location In Western New York
Wing Stop opened its first location in Buffalo back on January 13, 2025, right in the M&T Plaza on Delaware Ave. at the corner of Hertel Ave. That location has been very busy since it first opened, leading to the expansion across the region.
Where/When Will The New Wing Stop Location Be Opening?
The new location is set to open on Niagara Fall Blvd., right off the 290. It will be located across the street from the Starbucks on Niagara Falls Blvd., next to the former Smash Burger location, which is now turning into a new place. The new Wing Stop location is expected to open in May.
The company is also expected to expand with several more locations across Western New York in 2025 and 2026.
Wing Stop was first opened in 1994 in Garland, Texas, and soon expanded across the country. On top of wings, they also offer chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. They also offer 14 different styles of sauces for their chicken, including Hickory Smoked BBQ, Cajun, Mango Habanero, and of course, Buffalo style hot, medium, and mild.
Currently, Wing Stop has over 2500 locations across the country.
