What Team Should Peyton Manning Sign With?
One of the biggest quarterbacks in NFL history is now on the open market where should Peyton Manning end up?
- 1
Houston Texans
Texans have everything Manning could possibly want: A great defense, running back, receiver an exceptional offensive line and a stadium with a roof.
- 2
San Francisco 49ers
The Niners have a good line that is likely to get better, Frank Gore is a great halfback, and a good offensive coaching staff that includes head coach Jim Harbaugh and brainy coordinator Greg Roman.
- 3
Denver Broncos
Yahoo's Silver says most general managers wouldn’t dream of bringing in someone that would bench Tebow, but executive vice president of football operations John Elway isn’t most people. Elway might just have the guts to make a run at another man who fits that description.
- 4
Washington Redskins
The Redskins would need to get Manning some weapons. The team’s overall talent level isn’t overly impressive, but a healthy Manning could change the vibe.
- 5
Miami Dolphins
The idea of Manning going to Miami isn't a bad one – heck he already has a place in South Beach.
- 6
Seattle Seahawks
Seattle would be great if Manning wants to shy away from the spotlight, and take a couple of years "off", if he could stand coach Pete Carroll for that long!
- 7
New York Jets
Actually this sounds a lot "cooler" than it is. The Jets would never be willing to downgrade Mark Sanchez...cest la vie!
- 8
Arizona Cardinals
This just isn't going to happen, because Bill Bidwill has the reputation of being as fiscally conservative (cheap) as Ralph Wilson.
- 9
Jacksonville Jaguars
There's a lot of talent on this team, a little shaky so far, and the weather is good, but this would be a real long shot.
- 10
Kansas City Chiefs
Not a good match. Manning would not be given the autonomy he needs to perform, so don't expect this to happen.
- 11
Cleveland Browns
Yahoo describes Brad Childress and Manning as a marriage made in hell...one would have to agree.
- 12
Buffalo Bills
Yahoo, thinks that this would be laughable, and gives it NO consideration at all other that to include the Bills in the last position on the list. The main reason it wouldn't happen is Wilson's checkbook. Wilson would never consider Manning, because of his first name "PAY-TON"!
