Warmer Weather Returning To Western New York

Looking ahead to the extended forecast from the National Weather Service in Buffalo, you might want to break out those summer clothes this week.

After a cool start to the week today, we are looking at sunny skies with a high near 68. Things will warm up this week in Western New York.

We are looking at mostly sunny skies all week long with slightly above-average high temperatures for most of the week.

The average high temperature for this time of year is around 66 degrees. This week, we will see an average high temperature of 75 degrees.

Last year, the average daily high temperature in Buffalo for the month of September was 67.9 degrees. That was up slightly from 2023, when the average daily high temperature was 65.4 degrees.

How Long Will The Warm Weather Last?

Looking past this week's forecast, it looks like our stay will be slightly above average. Temperatures in the mid-70s will continue into next week as well.

We will start to see that fall cooldown starting on September 22nd, when the high is predicted to be only 63 degrees. Low 60s highs are expected to remain in the 716 for all that week as we get closer to October.
