New Data Shows This Is “THE BEST” Place To Live In New York
New data released this morning shows that this city is the best place to live in New York State.
US News and World Report just released their rankings of the best places to live in America for 2024 and this city ranked highest on the list in New York State.
HOW WERE THE CITIES RANKED?
This year, editors at US News and World Report evaluated the 150 most populated metropolitan areas in the U.S., including Puerto Rico. Each index score was calculated on a 10-point scale based on the six data sources. They were: Affordability, Happiness, Desirability, Retiree Taxes, Job Market, and Health Care Quality.

Based on those indexes, US News and World Report have ranked Albany as the best place to live in New York State.
Albany was ranked as the 17th best city to live in America and the top city in New York State. Albany got an overall score of 6.6, a Quality Of Life score of 7.1, and a Value score of 6.8.

Here is a look at the other major cities in New York State.
Syracuse - 22nd overall in America and #2 in New York State. Syracuse got an Overall Score of 6.5, a Quality Of Life score of 7.1, and a Value score of 7.1.
Rochester - 26th overall in America and #3 in New York State. "The Flower City' got an Overall Score of 6.5, a Quality Of Life score of 7.3, and a Value score of 6.8.

Buffalo - 27th overall in America and #4 in New York State. Buffalo got an Overall Score of 6.5, a Quality Of Life score of 7.0 and a Value score of 7.4.
New York City - 98th overall in America and #5 in New York State. NYC got an Overall Score of 6.1, a Quality Of Life score of 7.0, and a Value score of 4.3.
