Unseasonable Wet Warmup For Western New York

It looks like we will be wrapping up 2024 with some unseasonable weather across Western New York.

As we say goodbye to 2024, Mother Nature is giving up one final shot of Spring like weather as we will see the temperature climb well above average with some very soggy conditions across the 716.

The average temperature for this time of year in Western New York is around 32 degrees. We could be almost 20 degrees warmer than that this weekend with scattered rain showers moving in on Saturday.

On top of the rain will be plenty of snowmelt as well due to the warm weather so make sure your sump pump is ready to go and watch for potential flooding in flood-prone areas this weekend.

Don't get too accustomed to the warm weather. It looks like things will drop back to normal after the 1st with the first potential snowstorm of 2025 taking place the 1st weekend of the new year.
