It was quite the Saturday for the UB Bulls Football team.

The Bulls did something that they have only done one other time in their football program history, beat a nationally ranked team.

The UB  Bulls were on the road to take on #23 ranked Northern Illinois, who were coming off an upset win over Norte Dame last week.

UB was able to hang with Northern Illinois all game and then went on to win it with a field goal in overtime.


The UB Bulls are now 3-1 on the season with that win over their MAC rival and currently 1-0 in MAC Conference play.

Up next for the Bulls will be another road game as they head out East to take on UCONN next Saturday. The Huskies come into the game with 2-2 record beating Florida Atlantic 48-14.

Speaking of UB Bulls football, you can expect to see some former Bulls players on the field Monday Night as the Buffalo Bills play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We could also see "Buffalo Joe" Joe oe Andreessen for the first time during the regular season. The rookie played for UB last season and could be on the field as the Bills have ruled our Terell Benard due to a pectoral injury.
